Lead guitarist Chris Detrick may be the youngest member of the Eyewitness Blues Band, but you could say the band never would have happened without him.
Chris has been playing the guitar since he was in the 6th grade. He has a degree in music from UC Berkeley, and was working as an instructor at Bandworks when the rest of the band showed up to learn how to work and play nicely with others. Chris was handed the unenviable task of molding this motley crew (not to be confused with Mötley Crüe) into a functioning band--in 8 short weeks. He did it, and no blood was shed. The rest of the band is unanimous in believing a lesser person would have run from the rehearsal room screaming (more than once). If you listen carefully to the band's Live Team Coverage CD, you'll hear nice guitar sounds that don't sound like they came from Stan or Mike. They didn't. Chris made them.
Chris has a bunch of musical toys that make the rest of the band jealous, but he's good about sharing. He's also busy helping people discover the joy of playing rock music in a band through his teaching, including the acclaimed MY AMP program for youth.
